In March 2025, USD 365 invited teachers to apply for a new opportunity to grow in their own learning while also leading professional development for the district. From this call, thirteen staff members were selected to form Leading Education and Development in USD 365 (LEAD 365).

Throughout April and May, LEAD 365 members focused on Standards Alignment, directly supporting the district’s KESA accreditation goals. In July, they prepared to lead professional development for the entire USD 365 teaching staff in August.

This initiative highlights the power of teachers leading teachers—sharing expertise, strengthening professional practice, and raising the bar for student learning. Feedback from staff showed they valued learning from their peers and are excited to continue in this work together.
