Mentoring Calendar 2025 - 2026
2025-2026 Mentoring Dates
All GES, GRE and WES Mentors and Mentees will meet from 4:00 – 5:00p.m. at Garnett Elementary in room Blue-8 (Mrs. Linn’s Room).
ALL ACJSHS Mentors will meet for a “mentors only” meeting at 4:15 p.m. in room 129 of the high school (Mr. Sibley’s room). They will meet along with their Mentees on these dates from 4:30-5:30 p.m. in the same place.
Throughout the year, Mentors and Mentees will meet regularly (weekly or bi-weekly depending on your experience thus far), and then we will meet as an entire group monthly.
These meetings are REQUIRED
Mentees and Mentors may claim PDP points for their time at these meetings.
You are expected to “SAVE THE DATES” and clear your schedule to attend.
All Meetings are on the first Wednesday of each month.
Sept. 3rd – Focus: Relationships
Major Topics: Building Student Rapport, School-Home Communication, Preparing for Conferences (Templates)
Oct. 1st – Focus: Classroom Management
Major Topics: Reflecting on Conferences, Working with Paras/Support Staff, Leson PLanning, Behavior Expectations and Consequences, Observations .
Nov. 5th – Focus: Reflective Strategies
Major Topics: Reflective PLanning, Classroom Culture, Engagement Strategies (cont.) Mid Year Testing Prep.
Dec. 3rd – Focus: 1st Semester Wrap up
Major Topics: Mid Year Reflection and 2nd Semester Goal Setting, Self Care and Boundaries (Preventing Burnout)

Jan. 7th – Focus: Starting On the Right Foot
Major Topics: Resetting Expectations, Revisiting Classroom Procedures, Data Informed Decision Making
Feb. 4th – Focus: Engagement and Motivation
Major Topics: Prep for 2nd Conferences, Managing Mid-Year Fatigue, Cooperative Learning Strategies
Mar. 4th – Focus: Assessment
Major Topics: Preparing for Standardized Assessments, Test Taking Strategies, Tips for Spring Fever
Apr. 1st – Focus: Finishing Strong
Major Topics: Engagement “Post-Testing”, End of Year Expectations, the Last 60 Days
May 6th – Focus: Reflection and Celebration
Major Topics: Wrap up and Program Evaluation, Write a Letter to “Next Year’s Self”, Celebrate
