As we kick off the new school year, we want to extend our sincere gratitude to the Transportation Department for their dedication to safety, efficiency, and student well-being. Their hard work ensures that students across our district arrive at school and return home safely each day.

With a district footprint of roughly 430 square miles, our transportation team plays a vital role in connecting students to learning opportunities.

Highlights of recent accomplishments include:

• Daily Impact: We are currently transporting 539 students and covering approximately 1,150 miles per day. A testament to the scale and efficiency of our operations.
• New Routing Software: We’ve implemented new transportation software to improve routing and reporting. This upgrade allowed bus transfers to work seamlessly from day one, and routes are now running smoothly and efficiently.
• New Maintenance/Mechanic Support: The addition of a new maintenance/mechanic team member has been a tremendous help in fueling buses and keeping the bus barn running smoothly.
• Fully Staffed Team: We are proud to report that our transportation department is fully staffed and ready to serve.
• Team Spirit: Everyone is glad to be back at work and excited to see all the students again.

These achievements reflect the transportation team’s commitment to operational excellence, student safety, and continuous improvement.
