USD 365 Board of Education Meeting Highlights – October 2, 2025
The USD 365 Board of Education met on Thursday, October 2, 2025, to review district updates and take action on several items supporting student learning and operations.
Reports and Updates
Board members received updates on the district budget, curriculum, enrollment, staffing, and expenditures by building. Highlights included a review of 10-year enrollment trends, per-pupil expenditure comparisons, and current instructional staffing levels. The curriculum report provided an overview of state assessment results and next steps for improving student achievement.
The board also reviewed plans for a series of community listening sessions to be held this fall. These sessions will give parents, staff, and community members an opportunity to share feedback on district priorities. In addition, results from the recent parent-teacher conference survey were presented, showing strong engagement across all schools.
Board Discussions
The board discussed progress on developing a Board Governance Handbook, designed to clarify roles, responsibilities, and meeting procedures. Policy updates were also reviewed, including a first read of revisions to Section A policies and a second read of policies related to enrollment and employee protections.
