USD 365 Board of Education Meeting Highlights – November 6, 2025

The USD 365 Garnett Board of Education met on Wednesday, November 6th at Anderson County Junior-Senior High School. In addition to regular board business, members received updates and discussed several key items related to district operations and future planning.
The board reviewed a report on district expenditures per pupil for the 2024–2025 school year and heard an update on the upcoming Community Listening Sessions, scheduled for November 11th, 12th, 13th, 17th, and 18th at various school sites across the district. These sessions are designed to gather input from staff, parents, and community members to help guide future planning and decision-making.
A special board meeting was scheduled for Monday, November 25th at 6:30 p.m. at the Ray Meyer Gym Board Office. During that meeting, the board will receive a summary report of the feedback gathered from the listening sessions.
Other discussion items included a possible remodel of the district’s bus barn, the first reading of a governance document outlining board procedures, and recommendations for new board policies. The board also approved the adoption of policies that had been reviewed during a previous meeting.
As part of the meeting, members toured the newly remodeled science classrooms and weight room at Anderson County Junior-Senior High School. The board also conducted the annual superintendent evaluation in accordance with district policy.
